Biography
Currently, Andre is a Founder at Enfuse Youth a youth led consultancy aimed at improving the life opportunities for young people; a start up he intends to turn into a global organisation for the betterment of young people across the world. An insatiable appetite for achievement through sport and the arts saw Andre run on a national level, attending Anna Scher and Slyvia Young theatre schools in his early years.
Andre [21] has dedicated his life to entrepreneurship, international development and working with young people for the past 5 years. At 16 he started his A levels at a Jesuit college famous for its motto being a man for others here he learnt first hand the values of adopting this motto and was selected to work closely with a number of ministry groups and as a peer mentor. This has acted as a solid foundation for his leap into the world of enterprise and international development.
In his first year Andre gained first hand experience in entrepreneurship through his university society Kingston Entrepreneurs. He became an active member of this society and added membership with SIFE to his commitments outside of his degree. It was here that he got his first taste for entrepreneurship. Alongside all of this he was chosen by OYIP to represent the U.K at a conference in Sydney and was subsequently chosen to sit on the Oxfam Youth Board in his first year at University. Andre brought a fresh perspective to youth board activities that he has also demonstrated in his other voluntary endeavours, combining entrepeneurial instinct and a genuine concern for social justice with an open mind and international perspective.
It came as no surprise that the current president at the time passed on the position to Andre because of the passion he showed over the course of his short time at Kingston to the entrepreneurship agenda. During his second year Andre took advantage of a myriad of opportunities that came his way and caught the entrepreneurship bug and began to brainstorm and develop his own idea- Enfuse Youth - an education consultancy, helping young people to fulfil their potential both in the working environment and the business environment. He went onto to secure funding [£5,000] for his start up business from Unltd. Following on from this success he was interviewed by journalists and LBC 97.3 fm to an audience of 130,000. His work at the society saw them succeed at the Real World Awards in the most improved society category demonstrating Andres key skills and ability to take projects to the next level.
He was privileged through a scheme led by ACTSA to attend a conference in South Africa in order to foster business and working relations with South African youth. His passion for economic development and job creation was incredible. The time spent with him, his British and South African counterparts could only lead to better relations between South Africa, a developing country and Britain, develop country.
In 2009, Andre began working on his own start ups and was asked to consult on a number of campaigns including the London Week of Peace. During this year a new initiative was born. He has been has been instrumental to the founding and development of the National Consortium of University Entrepreneurs[ NACUE]. Andre has been selected for 'the Courvoisier Future 500' as a rising star on the UK entrepreneurship circuit a list that aims aggregate the up and coming entrepreneurs in the U.K. Alongside this he has devoted himself to consulting on a number of companies and events most notable the London Week of Peace [LWOP].
